Surrounded by small children day in and day out can make for some pretty interesting stories (and we don't even have any of our own yet!). Follow our Tucson adventures as Drew navigates his new career as a pediatrician, Emily works to get books into the hands of small kids, and our canine munchkins (Annabelle & Albert) take on the perils of desert living.

Delicious Dinners
As the weather has turned significantly warmer here in Tucson (80's & 90's), by desire to cook has decreased A LOT. So, I am always looking for creative ways to avoid heat in the kitchen. The other night, Drew and I put together an assortment of "tapas" to snack on along with a chilled bottle of white wine. It hit the spot! A photo of our delicious spread! Simple, quick, and perfect for a hot winter (?) night.

YUM! I totally relate to the decreased desire to cook. Our winters are kind of simalar--not long, and not really THAT cold ;) We are always looking for light dinners for HOT nights--so send recipes! We have a lot of cheese/crackers/grapes/wine nights here :) What's in that bowl in the middle? I like the chilled white wine part too, of course! Can't wait to hang out with my favorite wine buddy in a few days! Miss you!
looks yummy :) if only it was warm enough to not want to cook here...someday! for now i just don't want to cook because it's late by the time i get home!
